- Rode hotel shuttle to Newark airport, bus to Newark Penn Station, and subway to NY Penn Station.
- Walked about 1.5 miles to F.A.O. Schwarz -- the ultimate toy store and a kid's paradise. Had a great time making music on the "Big" piano, playing with the toy dinosaurs and farm animals and guffawing over the $700 stuffed animals (including a $4,000 Buick-sized dragon!)
- Ice skated in the sun for an hour and a half at Rockefeller Center and had a blast!
- P enjoyed a street-vendor hot dog and we both snacked on tasty roasted cashews from another cart.
- Strolled through lively Little Italy and dined on tasty chicken and veal parmigiana at Frankie Cee's.
- Stopped at Heartland Brewery at the base of the Empire State Building for our last drinks in the city.
- Walked to Penn Station and rode the train back to our hotel -- a little more expensive than our other modes of transpo in and out of the city, but much faster and more convenient.
