Thai One On - Day 3

  • Enjoyed a tasty breakfast at Thai Thai Kitchen of a giant pancake with papaya and pineapple for P and a Thai-style omelet with minced pork, tomato and onion for me.
  • Rented bicycles for the day and cruised around town checking out the numerous unique wats.

  • Stopped on the way back at the Conservation of Blind Masseuses for traditional Thai massages.
  • Participated in a Thai cookery course in the evening at Asia Scenic. Tasted herbs in garden behind house, toured nearby market, and made four dishes each: egg rolls, pad Thai, Massaman curry, hot basil stir fry, papaya salad, cashew nut chicken, green curry and pad see uu -- all very, very delicious.

  • After cooking and feasting, we walked around Sunday night market -- a huge bazaar located in the center of town featuring live music, foot massage stations, food and drink booths and vendors of just about anything imaginable. We picked up a few goodies to bring home and tried dragon fruit shakes!
